Underground Core Drilling
The Advance Drilling team have been operating core drilling equipment in underground
mines in Saudi Arabia since 2021. We currently have a fleet of 6x Underground core drilling
rigs, utility equipment and a very competent team that have experience from most of the
unique challenges related to operating in underground mines. With good interaction
between the contractor and the operating mine, we help to ensure good ground control
practices in the areas where we operate, safe ventilation and air exchanges as well as the
important provision of drilling water and electric power – we know what is required to
successfully operate underground core drilling equipment.
Whereas some of our older rigs are pilot-hydraulically controlled, our newest fleet additions
are with the latest Canbus computerised control complimented with automated rod
handling. Our operators and maintenance teams have experience from different technology
levels and we are ready to support further automation across additional operations in the
future. We continuously work toward improving our methods related to core drilling,
downhole surveys and specialized solutions with directional drilling, pushing for the
highest level of operational excellence.
